NCPD acknowledges the importance of public education and awareness campaigns and its social responsibility towards the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. In this regard the Centre participates widely in Community Outreach Programmes which seek to promote an inclusive environment through workshops, seminars, print publications, radio and video productions in several key areas pertaining to persons with disabilities. Common themes include but are not limited too, disability awareness, dispelling the stigma and myths associated with different disability types, etiquette when communicating with persons with disabilities and the challenges faced by persons with disabilities. To facilitate these programmes, NCPD frequently partners with various governmental agencies, non-governmental agencies and the business community.
